Family and Community Support Services Grant
FCSS supports local preventive social services through direct programming and the provision of financial assistance through the grant program to deliver prevention-based programs.
Eligibility:
Proposed projects must be managed by, or under the guidance of, a registered charity, registered society, or non-profit organization in Alberta or operating under the administrative jurisdiction of a school division or municipality in the Alberta Peace County Region.
To qualify for application under this program, the proposed project must meet the following requirements:
- Promote, encourage, and practice volunteerism and the use of volunteers.
- Be in preventative nature
- Align with FCSS legislation
- Respond to identified community needs, with clearly defined goals
- Strengthen personal, family, or community capacity
- Limit or avoid duplication of existing services
FCSS grants cannot fund:
- Capital projects, fundraising efforts, or operating deficits
- Religious worship, political activity, or activities of private benefit.
- Any other use prohibited by the FCSS Act or Regulations.
